Q: What options do guests have for transport if not staying on site after the wedding?
A: We recommend pre-booking taxis whenever possible. Most Newcastle firms will travel to us and Darras & Pont
Taxis are a very close local firm.
When booking transport, please avoid full size/large buses. They sadly will not fit over the
stunning Grade II listed bridge that welcomes you into the estate.
If we stay over how much are the rooms?
The rooms start from £180 to £230, but you can choose which room you're staying in or in the cottages. If you just price the cottage by adding the rooms up and splitting the cost by person, it works out cheaper.
Can I stay over on the wedding night
Yes, we would love people to stay to avoid going home early and also to help sort out transport home.e rooms and cottages reserved an We have multipld some that can still be reserved. Please let us know if you would like to stay in one of the beautiful rooms.
Can our children attend?
While we love all of your children dearly, we are only having children who have a role in our wedding ceremony. We hope this has given you enough notice to arrange childcare so you can celebrate with us.
We will be welcoming children to attend our reception on the evening but please consider if this would interfere with you being stress free and enjoying your evening to celebrate with us.
Can we stay over the night before to avoid rushing?
We understand some people cannot stay the night prior; however, for those who would like to help us celebrate longer or for reasons of travelling long distances, we have rooms and cottages reserved for us the night prior. Please let us know if you would like one of these allocated. The night before, we will have an extensive buffet, spa treatments for the girls, beers for the boys and generally a large mingle of everyone we love to ensure minimal moments of 'who she' and 'who he' on the big day.
Can we take pictures and videos during the ceremony?
We kindly request that our guests respect our unplugged ceremony by turning off their phones and putting them away. Our talented photographer will capture the best possible shots without any distractions. We know the Bride loves social media, and she will share a photo later in the day to announce our marriage. Until then, we ask that guests refrain from posting any images on social media and allow us to be able to share the news and show a photo of our wedding first with our friends who couldn't be with us.
What is the dress code?
Formal attire is for all daytime guests, and formal/ cocktail attire is for those attending the evening only.
Please take a look at Google for ideas and descriptions.
We'd like to ask for no jeans, polo tops or T-shirts and to look at the dress code for ideas and inspiration. If in doubt, please speak to our bridesmaid and fashionista, Ellie Dickerson Weedy, who is the person we usually ask if something is acceptable; plus, we want to be surprised by your smart outfits as much as you will be by ours! x
Will it not be freezing in November?
Whilst November is chilly, we live in England. 93 per cent of the year is cold. And like 100 per cent of the year, the weather is unpredictable. Our wedding is indoors along with all other parts of the day and the only time outside will be walking a short distance from one location to another or if we drag you for a photograph

Those staying the night prior or the night off will also receive breakfast, and those staying the night prior will have a buffet or hot food meals served. You will be fed well, trust us x

What time shall I arrive?
We ask everyone to arrive at 12 pm sharp to allow all events to go smoothly and for our wedding ceremony to begin at 1 pm as booked with our registrar.
Is there a registry?
You will never understand how much your presence on this day is a gift to us and how grateful we are that you are coming to celebrate with us. We already have everything we could dream of with our house, children, and belongings, so please do not feel obliged to get us a gift. However, if you would like to make any contribution, we are busy saving up our pennies for our family moon to the Caribbean and also, not many know, but we are going for our second attempt at having our first baby together, which unfortunately wasn't successful the first time and does cost an awful lot of money. Hence, any help with these beautiful journeys is beyond appreciation.
What time does the reception end?
We aren't going to beat around the bush. We plan on celebrating in the evening when the day's formalities are over. The Woodland Suite party is until 1 a.m., and then after-party nibbles and drinks will be available in the Manor House Grand Kitchen. With different entertainment during the evening celebrations we would encourage those who can stay the evening with us to allow you to relax and not worry about travelling home so late.
How do I pay for the rooms?
Once you have told us wich nights you wish to stay and we have allocated you a room the venue will contact you direct with a link in an email its really as simple as that.
Is there any colours I should avoid?
Please avoid colours reserved for the bride and the bridal party. Traditionally, creams, whites, ivory golds, and champagne colours are used.
